Department summary

"Don't just make content, be discontent." In the vast, ever-changing world that is the internet, one fact has remained since its inception - the internet loves new things. The C27 Content and Community team combines meaningful insights, universal truths, hot topics and a dose of visual artistry to create arresting content and engage with digital communities. They are also responsible for the production of content on digital channels, and engaging the community in line with a brand’s voice.

Min 4 years of experience serving creative functions in an organisation or equivalent, Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value, Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or relevant degree or certification, Possess impeccable command of English (Written & Spoken), Basic knowledge of Google Workspace (Doc, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

  • Championing the rule of “no Lorem Ipsum” in mockups, you must ensure that words & visuals are of equal priority in any piece of work.

Creative Leadership
  • Mentor, encourage, foster and support intelligent innovation and risk-taking to create and deliver business models that improve the consumer interaction and experience with the product and provide the best financial performance to the business.
  • Create the department’s vision and relay it to team members, aligning with the fundamental organisational values. 
  • Inspire and ensure that the whole experience team produces compelling and industry-leading work.
  • Works closely with creative team to develop and execute visual solutions that work with an overarching concept 
  • Takes a leadership role when working or presenting work to clients 
  • Ensure that you are the source of inspiration for your team.
  • Create a balanced environment for your team to fail safely.
  • Lead and manage a team of creatives in the development and delivery of creative solutions across multiple clients and platforms.
  • Accountable for the final development and production of creative assets. 
  • Attention to detail in evaluating creative work.
  • Mentor and onboard other writers as needed
  • Offer client and team members innovative advice and solutions from industry examples and experience
  • Help organize, maintain and oversee creative standards and guidelines
  • Offer insight on creative briefs and schedules
  • (C&C) Lead production shoots (Photo Shoots, Events, Production Houses, etc.)
Creative Execution
  • Be a brand steward
  • Ideate and execute sound creative ideas for client marketing materials in an efficient and economical manner
  • Create concepts that show a thorough understanding of the strategy and are extendable into campaigns
  • Write expert, branded copy
  • Creates multiple creative solutions for a given brief; provides a point of view and communicates it to wider team
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
  • Plans concepts by studying information and materials.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our client’s brand voice and implement it into all creative jobs
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other copywriters, designers, animators, front-end developers, as well as production, strategy and data teams to develop ideas, refine concepts and ensure creative vision is achieved and client expectations are met
  • Team up with peers to overcome obstacles and create client success
  • Work within tight deadlines
  • Prioritize workload and manage time effectively – personally and for the team as needed
Collaborate with Others
