Senior Copywriter

Part of the Content and Community team and reports directly to the Creative Group Head

Primary Responsibilities

Creative Excellence

  1. Primary copy lead across internal/external projects spanning from a range of formats and deliverables, including websites, social media posts, blogs.
  2. Create original, persuasive and conceptually compelling work while managing a team of copywriters.
  3. Assist Associate Creative Director to manage copywriting aspects for multiple projects from the development of concepts through completion.
  4.  Maintain copy and creative integrity whilst incorporating client changes.
  5. To be able to incorporate SEO recommendations into content development (if required). 
  6. Develop strong user personas and target audience profiles to enhance our creative offerings.
  7. Proofreading and editing copy to check spelling, accuracy and grammar.

Account Management

  1. To be able to consult tieraccounts with minimal supervision from Associate Creative Director (if required).
  2. To be able to chair meetings with tier 3-4 clients (if required).
  3. To be able to present to clients during the presentation. 
  4. To be able to consult the client on all things related to copywriting and brand voice.
  5.  Liaising with clients and interpreting their briefs.

Marketing & New Business

  1. Manage and develop new business presentations. 
  2. Apply compelling concepts and narratives to strategic insight to create and bring to life ideas for proposals.

Collaborate with Others

  1. Work alongside other creatives during ideation sessions to create exciting concepts and ideas.
  2. Collaborate closely with designers during creative development to ensure synergy between copy and design.
  3. Develop User flows and User Journeys for web development projects, working closely with the designer and project manager (the working team).

Project Management & Coordination

  1. Manage and ensure personal and team’s tasks are delivered on time, working closely with the Project Management Team.
  2. Maintain communications with appropriate internal agencies and client personnel to ensure positive workflow, escalating exceptions and client issues as required.
  3. Supervise and oversee the quality of work delivered by vendor partners.
  4. Review team working processes and quality daily to ensure efficient and effective management of day-to-day tasks.

Creative Leadership

  1. Being the go-to senior creative when the Associate Creative Director isn’t available or involved in a project without the Associate Creative Director.
  2. Inspire & guide fellow Copywriters and Jr Copywriters to improve their craft and creative writing, being a secondary mentor.
  3. Ensure that the team constantly upgrades themselves by achieving related accreditation(s) or Certification(s). 
  4. Responsible for suggesting new workshops or short-courses that will help fellow team members internally. 
  5. Stay current with popular culture and trends and share knowledge with the creative team.
  6. Regular check-ins to ensure the general health and welfare of the team. 

Internal Initiatives

  1. To work closely with others to execute & drive special internal projects as initiated by the CEO.
  2. Keep an eye on awards/case study work across the C27 portfolio of clients.
  3. To consistently improve internal systems for higher productivity and efficiency.
  4. Assist Associate Creative Director to ensure C27 branding and comms align with the company’s vision and goals.

Other Responsibilities

Responsibilities towards the Company

  1. To be responsible for the safekeeping and general usage of the Company’s assets in employee possession and in the use of Company facilities that are provided.
  2. To be dress presentably and to maintain professionalism during client meetings, which reflects the C27 philosophy. 
  3. To uphold C27’s brand image at all times, during working hours and non-working hours, in-office grounds or out of office grounds. 

General Responsibilities

  1. To adhere to Superior’s directions, instructions, & recommendations.
  2. To ensure all works are of high quality with little to no errors.
  3. Ensure all projects are submitted promptly: with precise contents, a neat format, & transparency in works done. 
  4. To constantly upgrade knowledge by achieving related accreditation(s) or Certification(s).

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

  1. You are constantly observing C27’s culture and practices, putting in efforts to ensure you uplift the Company’s good name.
