Requirements

  1. Min 9-12 years of experience managing a team and serving creative functions in an organisation or equivalent.

  2. Portfolio composition of T1 majority portfolio OR >RM1mio portfolio value

  3. Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject matter

    (design, copy, user experience, production, content creation, art direction, analytics, social media).

  4. Advanced competency in design, copy, user experience, production, content creation, art direction, analytics, social media

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Creative Excellence

  1. Ensuring the highest quality of work is produced at all times.

  2. Inspire intent and delight your audience.

  3. Keeping up with current events and the latest aesthetic trends.

  4. Make the most of ideations and work with the team to bring ideas to life.

  5. To be able to articulate, rationalise and defend conceptual and directional choices.

  6. Accountable for the final development and production of creative assets

  7. Time allocated will vary, but ensure equal dedication to all bodies of work.

  8. Championing the rule of “no Lorem Ipsum” in mockups, you must ensure that words & visuals are of equal priority in any piece of work.

Creative Leadership

  1. Mentor, encourage, foster, and support intelligent innovation and risk-taking to create and deliver creative solutions that improve consumer interaction and experience with clients’ products and/or services, providing the best financial performance to clients’ businesses.

  2. Co-create the department’s vision with other creative leaders and relay it to team members, aligning with fundamental organisational values.

  3. Inspire and ensure that the Content & Community team produces compelling, industry-leading work.

  4. Works closely with creative teams to develop and execute creative solutions that work within an overarching concept

  5. Takes on a leadership role when working or presenting work to clients

  6. Ensure that you are the source of inspiration for your team.

  7. Create a balanced environment for your team to fail safely.

  8. Lead and manage a team of creatives in developing and delivering creative solutions across multiple clients and platforms.

  9. Accountable for the final development and production of creative assets.

  10. Attention to detail in evaluating creative work.

  11. Mentor and onboard other creatives (both art- and copy-based) as needed.

  12. Offer client and team members innovative advice and solutions from industry examples and experience.

  13. Help organize, maintain, and oversee creative standards and guidelines

  14. Offer insight on creative briefs and schedules

  15. Lead, manage, and coordinate production shoots (Photo Shoots, Events, Production Houses, etc).

  16. To act as the final sign-off of creative direction in the absence of a Creative Director in a working team.

  17. To act as the final sign-off of execution work in the absence of a Creative Group Head in a working team.

  18. To act as the main subject matter expert in the absence of a Creative Director in meetings with clients.

  19. Delegate and share all roles and responsibilities mentioned above to your respective second-in-line as deemed necessary, in accordance with relevant contexts, as part of your wider management responsibilities to grow and nurture the next generation of leaders.

Department Leadership

  1. Assist the Creative Director in identifying and setting department goals and direction that are aligned with company goals.

  2. Consolidate and analyze reports/feedback from team members, ensuring the data is well presented for the Creative Director to present during leadership meetings.

  3. Participate in budget development and monitor the department budget as approved by management (including vendors, recruitment, training, and internal department events) together with the Creative Director while keeping the budget to a minimum for the company’s betterment.

  4. Review, update, direct, ensure, and enforce the department’s internal processes and/or SOPs to align with the company/department playbook and project blueprints.

  5. Monitor, review, update, and ensure effective utilization of human resources (including the number of personnel, employee development needs, promotions, and project allocation) to realize company goals.

  6. Assist the Creative Director in working with the Head of People to create a people strategy and plan that delivers on current and future business objectives.

Team Leadership

  1. Being the go-to senior creative when the Creative Director isn’t available.

  2. Inspire and guide fellow creatives to improve their craft and creative thought process, being a secondary mentor.

  3. Responsible for suggesting new workshops or short courses to help fellow team members internally.

  4. Keeping the team in tune with new and/or current design practices, including craft and software.

  5. Regular check-ins to ensure the general health and welfare of the team.

Client/Partners & Agencies Management

  1. Serve as the primary liaison between partner agencies and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  2. Consult clients and partner agencies with minimal supervision from the Creative Director, providing expert advice and guidance.

  3. Present and rationalize creative strategies and concepts to clients/partners, pitching and justifying ideas effectively.

  4. As required, chair meetings with clients and partner agencies, ensuring productive discussions and outcomes.

  5. Inspire and motivate clients and partner agencies to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional craft output.

  6. Cultivate and maintain cross-functional relationships with partner agencies and clients to gather the best information and gain traction on strategies and ideas.

  7. Build strong relationships with team members among clients, creating plans to address their business needs and advising on profitable processes.

  8. Schedule regular meetings with clients to ensure satisfaction and act as the point of contact for complaints, escalating issues as appropriate.

  9. Assist the sales team in up-selling or cross-selling services and products, ensuring the company’s and clients’ adherence to contract terms.

Project Management & Coordination

  1. Manage and ensure personal and team tasks are delivered on time, working closely with the Account Management Team.

  2. Be able to advise the Account Management Team on realistic hours needed for each task.

  3. Work with the Creative Group Head/Creative Director to manage cost estimates and execution budgets for clients.

  4. Maintain communications with appropriate internal agencies and client personnel to ensure positive workflow and escalate exceptions and client issues as needed.

  5. Supervise and oversee the quality of work delivered by vendor partners.

  6. Cultivate cross-functional relationships with partner agencies to ensure you have the best information and the ability to gain traction on your strategies and ideas.

  7. To maintain strong client relationships to ensure ongoing client happiness, account health and growth.

New Business Conversion

  1. Directing and developing business proposals.

  2. Accountable for new business conversion rate, working closely with the Business Development Team to shape project teams and produce work in a manner that increases the chances of closing the deal – meaning, within reason and context, you are expected to collaborate with your creative leaders to make well-informed decisions to either stick closely to the brief or go against it to give the company the biggest chances of winning the business.

Internal Initiatives

  1. To work closely with others to execute & drive internal special projects as initiated by the CEO.

  2. Keep an eye out for awards/case study work across the C27 portfolio of clients.

  3. To ensure the brand image (visually) of C27 is consistent throughout while working with the internal branding team.

Other Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with others – Encourage discourse and critical thinking in collaboration with others.

  2. Ensure effective interdepartmental collaboration.

  3. To adhere to the superior’s directions, instructions, & recommendations.

  4. Ensure all works produced are of high quality with little to no errors.

  5. Ensure all projects are submitted promptly, with precise contents and clean format.

Responsibilities towards the Company

  1. To be responsible for the safekeeping and general usage of the Company’s assets in employee possession and Company facilities provided.

  2. To be dressed presentably and to maintain professionalism during client meetings.

  3. To uphold C27’s brand image at all times, during working and non-working hours, in-office or out-of-office grounds.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

  1. You constantly observe C27’s culture and practices, working to uplift the Company’s good name.
