Account Manager
Purpose — Account Management builds and maintains positive client relationships for the agency. Our team collaborates with clients to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges, providing necessary resources, personnel, and budgets for successful campaigns. We leverage data and market trends to inform strategy and ensure deadlines and budgets are met. By reviewing campaigns for quality and consistency, we deliver results that meet client objectives. We foster an environment of trust and collaboration to guarantee success for our clients and the agency.
Requirements
- At least 3-4 years of experience in advertising account management, including managing teams, preferably in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value.
- Positive & strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Intermediate competency on project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong understanding of the advertising industry and the ability to stay up-to-date with trends and developments.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned clients.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Account Management
- Actively build and maintain client relationships, handling more complex client interactions and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Understand clients’ advertising needs, objectives, and challenges to develop effective campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, media, vendors) to ensure successful campaign execution.
- Develop and monitor budgets, timelines, and action plans, making adjustments as needed to stay on track.
- Prepare and present campaigns and presentations to clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate this knowledge into advertising strategies.
- Generate comprehensive progress and performance reports with actionable insights.
Client Relationship Management
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships and provide in-depth consultancy with regards to the services provided.
- Deeply understand client needs, requirements, and project constraints (schedule, scope, resources) and ensure they are clearly communicated to the internal team.
- Proactively manage client expectations regarding work scope, deliveries, and any limitations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Ensure client approvals and sign-offs are being achieved/received according to timeline, avoiding the delay / overrun of work deliveries.
- Lead collaboration with internal teams, including creative and media, to ensure the successful execution of advertising campaigns.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and developments, and strategically incorporate this knowledge into our advertising strategies.
Management Leadership
- Actively support the Senior Account Manager in achieving operational tasks.
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail in evaluating project work.
- Mentor and guide new account managers and project managers.
- Provide innovative advice and solutions to clients and team members based on industry experience.
- Organize, maintain, and oversee project standards and guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive insights on project briefs and schedules.
Resource Planning and Management
- Plan and manage the team’s workload on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring a balance of workload across.
- Plan project teams’ allocation for proposals and new projects, targeting 6 months visibility.
- Ensure resource availability by utilising tools such as Teamwork.
- Ensure milestones are created and updated as the project moves along.
Campaign Execution
- Lead the execution of complex digital and social media campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and develop strategic recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure all campaigns are on-brand and aligned with client messaging.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Provide guidance to junior team member on campaign execution and analysis.
Vendor Management
- Build a comprehensive database and maintain strong relationships with all vendors.
- Able to negotiate with vendors on payment terms and additional discounts (when necessary) to meet margins.
- Ensure C27 keeps a healthy database of vendors at all times
- Engage with vendors to ensure high-quality and efficient work output, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Platform Management
- Ensure all projects are broken down to milestones and tasks via Teamwork.
- Reducing lead time between brief to task assignment targeting < 4 hours.
- Manage and nurture low level data to aid into department level reporting under performance marketing platform/dashboard.
Client Growth and Retention
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients.
- Work to expand the agency’s portfolio of services with each client.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention rates.
- Serve as clients’ primary point of contact, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to define clear campaign goals and KPIs.
Internal Initiatives
- To work closely (when selected) to execute & drive internal special projects as initiated by the CEO.
- To ensure the brand image (visually) of C27 is consistent throughout while working with the internal branding team.
Other Responsibilities

To be dressed presentably and to maintain professionalism during client meetings.
To uphold C27’s brand image at all times, during working and non-working hours, in-office or out-of-office grounds.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- You constantly observe C27’s culture and practices, working to uplift the Company’s good name.
Purpose
