Strategist

Requirements

  1. Min 4 years of experience serving creative and/or media functions in an organisation or equivalent.
  2. Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value.
    Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration and Finance, Communications, Media, Statistics, or relevant degree or certification.
  3. Working knowledge of Facebook, Google, LinkedIn Ad platforms (and other major search, display, video and social tools).
  4. Intermediate knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Emplify, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge of Google Workspace ( Doc, Sheets, Slides, etc.).

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Excellence

  1. Build a strong understanding of your clients’ business challenges and goals.

  2. Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, developing hypotheses and actionable insights from data sets related to everything from eCommerce shopping carts to online video.

  3. Understand the client’s audiences, objectives, and priorities, and lead the definition of solutions to meet these needs.

  4. Provide strategic direction on product, experience, and/or communications initiatives, identifying the key value propositions, consumer needs, and value to the business.

  5. Identify key opportunities to drive client value and collaborate with clients to add value to their business and educate them on digital marketing excellence.

  6. Be proactive, challenge with effective debate, and identify what the agenda for future discussion should be.

  7. Plan and lead client educational workshops on methodology, approach, industry terms towards performance marketing workshops and research sessions.

  8. Craft compelling narratives in presentations and to influence your findings of performance to internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g. agency, vendors or publishers).

High Performance Execution

  1. Developing & optimising acquisition campaigns on digital channels, including Search, Display, Mobile, and Social.
  2. Set up campaigns and keep monitoring campaign performance and pacing, as well as conduct performance analyses on a regular basis, using a data informed approach to optimise campaigns.
  3. Prepare reports and optimise dashboards to provide clients and management information and insights that helps to improve the business performance.
  4. Work with the Business Intelligence team to complete reporting requirements: market and competitive insights, digital media buying tactics, proof of activity, acceptance as required.
  5. Independently plan (create media schedule) full funnel tactics for social and various digital activations (i.e. awareness, consideration and conversion touchpoints including eCommerce requirements) across multiple Paid Social, Native and Audio platforms including but not limited to – Core platforms: Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter required; Additional platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, Taboola and Zafigo.
  6. Lead and implement campaign activities across multiple industries.
  7. Attain Facebook Blueprint Planner and Buyer certifications.
  8. Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure acquisition goals are met.
  9. Prepare presentations and present to senior-level clients, combining your ability to generate insights with your data through visualisation and storytelling.
  10. Responsible to deliver effective communication with client, internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Configure and deploy website tagging and analytics tools for site implementations, including custom events, variables and dimensions.

Strategic Direction & Problem Solving

  1. Analyze complex data sets to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic decisions.
  2. Develop creative solutions to business challenges, considering market landscape and client needs.
  3. Take a leading role in crafting the Marketing Calendar and Content Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.

 

Research, Analytics, Planning, Deployment

  1. Lead the research efforts to gather insights on consumer behavior and competitive landscape, focusing on strategic implications.
  2. Develop comprehensive strategies for sales attribution and follower acquisition across multiple digital channels.
  3. Analyze complex data sets, providing insights and potential workarounds for campaign challenges.
  4. Oversee the preparation of detailed reports and dashboards, ensuring they provide actionable insights for clients and management.
  5.  Lead the development of presentations, utilizing advanced data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate insights.

 

Stakeholder and Partner Management

  1. Managing partners from multiple agencies background – Media, Brand, Creative, Research, etc making sure acquisition goals are met. 
  2. Facilitate clear and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives and expectations.
  3. Assist in coordinating efforts among different agency partners to ensure smooth execution of strategies and campaigns.

 

Client Management

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members among clients, acting as a reliable point of contact.
  2. Assist in creating strategic plans to address clients’ business needs, focusing on specific project scopes and immediate goals.
  3. Provide clients with basic advice on optimizing business processes for profitability, leveraging available data and insights.
  4. Schedule and participate in regular meetings with clients to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for client complaints, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
  6. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling additional services and products.
  7. Ensure that both the company and clients adhere to contract terms, monitoring compliance and addressing discrepancies.

 

Documentation

  1. Lead data collection and analysis for updating documentation.
  2. Develop and implement templates and formats to improve documentation usability.

 

Collaboration

  1. Advocate data driven decision making and effective interdepartmental collaboration.
  2. Encourage effective discussions and critical thinking in collaborations with internal teams and external agency partners.

Other Responsibilities

  2. To be dressed presentably and to maintain professionalism during client meetings.

  3. To uphold C27’s brand image at all times, during working hours and non-working hours, in-office grounds or out of office grounds.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

  1. You constantly observe C27’s culture and practices, working to uplift the Company’s good name.
